詞義的選擇、引申和褒貶（9）

(二)英語(yǔ)中有些詞義是中立的，本身不表示褒義或貶義，但在一定的上下文中可能有褒貶的意味，漢譯時(shí)就應(yīng)該用具有褒貶意味的相應(yīng)的詞來(lái)表達(dá)，如：

1. 需要用褒義的詞來(lái)表達(dá)

1) Once early in 1974,while driving along the San Diego Freeway from Clemente to Los Angeles, he was asked to reflect on his hopes and ambitions.

一九七四年初，有人同他一起驅(qū)車(chē)從克利門(mén)蒂沿圣地亞哥公路去洛杉機(jī)，途中請(qǐng)他談
